Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Erfoud – Merzouga (Night in Hotel)

Your adventure begins with an early departure from Fes, heading south through the beautiful landscapes of Ifrane, a picturesque mountain town often called the “Switzerland of Morocco.” We then continue through the vast Middle Atlas Mountains, passing through Azrou, where you may spot Barbary macaques in the cedar forests.

After a scenic drive through the Ziz Valley, famous for its lush palm groves and dramatic gorges, we reach Erfoud, known for its rich fossil heritage. From here, we continue towards Merzouga, where the breathtaking Erg Chebbi dunes rise from the desert.

Check into a comfortable hotel in Merzouga, where you can relax, enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner, and rest before your desert adventure the next day.


Day 2: Merzouga Desert Exploration & Camel Trek (Night in Desert Camp)

After breakfast at the hotel, spend the day exploring the Merzouga Desert. You can visit Khamlia village, home to the Gnawa people, known for their spiritual music. Explore the surrounding desert landscapes, visit local nomadic families, or try optional ATV quad biking across the dunes.

In the late afternoon, embark on a camel trek into the heart of the Sahara, guided by local nomads. As the sun sets over the dunes, you’ll arrive at a luxury desert camp, where you’ll be welcomed with traditional mint tea. Enjoy a delicious Moroccan dinner, followed by a lively Berber music performance around the campfire. Spend the night under a sky full of stars in your private tent.


Day 3: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley (Night in Hotel)

Wake up early to witness the sunrise over the dunes, a magical moment that will stay with you forever. After breakfast at the camp, return to Merzouga either by camel trek or 4×4 transfer.

We then head towards the dramatic Todra Gorge, a natural wonder with towering rock walls that reach up to 300 meters. Enjoy a walk through the canyon and take in the breathtaking views before continuing our journey.

Next, we drive through the Dades Valley, known for its unique rock formations, including the famous Monkey Fingers cliffs. Here, you will check into a comfortable hotel or riad, where you can relax and enjoy dinner before spending the night.


Day 4: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, we continue our journey towards Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Morocco.” Here, you can visit the famous Atlas Film Studios (optional) and explore the impressive Taourirt Kasbah.

Our next stop is Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best-preserved kasbahs in Morocco. This ancient fortified village has been the backdrop for many famous films, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones.

After exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we begin our scenic drive back to Marrakech, crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m). Along the way, enjoy stunning landscapes, picturesque Berber villages, and panoramic views.

We arrive in Marrakech by late afternoon, where your unforgettable 4-day desert adventure concludes.
